About Me

Hi, I’m Angela. I didn’t set out to start a midlife revolution. But crossing into my 50s made it impossible to ignore how women “of a certain age” get treated like they’ve aged out of relevance. One minute you’re running companies, raising families, holding up entire communities… and the next, you’re invisible.
What most people don’t know? The idea for the Real Girls Guide first hit me in my mid-30s. Back then it was going to be called Real Girls Guide to Over 35. Life, career, and chaos shoved that idea into a folder that sat untouched for years. Then, during my so-called “retirement” which lasted exactly one month before I jumped back into consulting on marketing and go-to-market strategy, I found that dusty old folder and realized that book was demanding to be written.
So I built Real Girls Guide as an antidote. No filters, no “aging gracefully” platitudes, just real talk about the chaos, the curveballs, the reinvention, and the audacity it takes to thrive when the world keeps trying to sideline you.
Real Girls Guide isn’t about playing small. It’s about claiming space. It's about laughing through the mess, owning the power in our stories, and passing the mic (and the wisdom) to the women coming up behind us. Through raw storytelling, community, and a soon-to-drop book, I’m rewriting the narrative on midlife—and trust me, it doesn’t involve fading quietly into the background.

Real Girls Guide -
Coming to Print
Part manifesto. Part survival guide. Forget “aging gracefully.” This book is a rally cry for women who are done playing small and done waiting for permission. With a voice that's a mash-up of Jen Sincero meets Nora Ephron on a wine-fueled rant, it pulls back the curtain on the chaos, curveballs, and reinventions that define midlife. It’s the guide I needed a decade (or two!) ago for all the things no one warns you about. Through essays, prompts, and stories from 100+ women and experts, we’re talking sex, hormones, money, power, parenting adult kids, solo living, love, loss—and the radical self-possession it takes to quit shrinking and take up the damn room. Not a self-help book. A revolution with receipts.
